Happy Birthday America!

I realize this isn't a typical Independence Day card (Is there such a thing?  Do people really send those?)  but it is our country's birthday, so it works, right?  Actually, this card is going right in my mailbox for my Grandpa.  He's a patriotic kind of guy and his birthday is this weekend. 

I love the retired 4th of July stamp set, probably because I love watching fireworks.  It's looking a bit ominous out at the moment, and I'm hoping that there won't be any rain to ruin our plans for the evening.  No picnics or anything exciting going on today, but tonight we'll be off to watch fireworks...it's just not the 4th of July without that!
